There will be nationally ranked girls and boys teams from across the country, including Marshall High School (Chicago), coached by Dorothy Gaters, the winningest girls basketball coach in Illinois history.

There will be a MLK Peace Weekend Kick-off Reception and Press Conference on Friday evening January 13, 2006. The reception will highlight all of the upcoming activities for the “Peace Weekend” and will spotlight the contributions of our sponsors.

This will be a “thank you in advance” event for those individuals, organizations, and sponsors that have contributed to making the “Peace Weekend” possible. Local and national press will be invited to bring additional media attention for our sponsors.
